What must we do to receive salvation and eternal life?
HEAR
Romans 10:17 "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
James 1:22 "But be ye doers of the word, not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."
BELIEVE
Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be condemned."
REPENT
Change of mind and actions away from past sins.
Luke 13:3 "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
CONFESS
Make a public confession that Jesus is the Christ, Son of God.
Romans 10:10 "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Matthew 10:32 "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven."
BE BAPTIZED
Immersed in water for the forgiveness of sins.
1 Peter 3:21 "The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:"
Acts 22:16 " And now why tarriest thou? Arise and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord."
REMAIN FAITHFUL
Revelation 2:10 "be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life."
